Home energy saver: residential solar panels

With the excessive use of fossil fuel and other natural resources, these is an increasing levels of global warming that leads to green house effect and depletion in renewable resources. To save the environment from increasing levels of pollution, harnessing renewable resources is the need of the hour. One of the biggest advantages of using renewable resources is the fact that one can utilize it for long duration of time without getting exhaust or deplete.

This makes renewable resources one of the most effective mediums that are completely free from pollution. For all those who wish to harness solar energy, it is a wise decision that will certainly help you in lowering the electricity bills as well as conserving the solar energy into a renewable form. Harnessing of solar energy not only helps you in cutting down the cost of electricity buy also helps in reducing global warming.

What are solar panels?
Residential solar panels are an assembly of interconnected photovoltaic cells or solar cells that act as mirrors or lenses and harness the solar energy by absorbing the solar spectrum. The amount of energy absorbed in the solar panel depends upon the solar panel and the number of solar photovoltaic cells. These residential solar panels are available in two modules that include rigid thin and flexible thin.

In the former, the solar cells are made on a glass superstrate or substrate and its electric connection is known as monolithic integration. The primary cell technology used in this panel includes amorphous silicon, Cd Te, micromorphous silicon, and CSIG. In the flexible thin mode, both the modules and cells are placed on the same line of photoactive layer. These cells are laminated with transparent fluoropolymer.

Benefits of using residential solar panels

  • Some of the major advantages of residential solar panels include:
  • Solar cells are noise free so they do not cause noise pollution.
  • Solar energy harnessed by residential solar panels is non-polluting in nature. Unlike oil that leads to carbon-di-oxide and other carcinogens into air, solar energy cells are eco friendly.
  • Solar cells require minimal maintenance.
  • Though the initial investment in residential solar panels may be high, in long run, it offers cost effective results.
  • Residential solar panels are easy to install, as one does not require any heavy wiring and other paraphernalia.

With zero emission norms, residential solar panels are environment friendly.

However, the only limiting factor with residential solar panels is that they cannot work during night or bad weather and its initial cost is expensive. With the continuous improvement in renewable energy technologies, residential solar panels will be affordable and accessible. With the benefits like zero emission and nil greenhouse gas, it is a perfect contrast to bio fuel and electricity.

Residential solar panels
As the name suggests, residential solar panels are meant for residential rather than commercial. With the use of residential solar panels, one can benefit from both indoor and outdoor lighting, backup power, solar water heater, water pumps, pool heaters, and covers to utilize the solar energy in the best possible way.

So, get the best residential solar panels and save yourself from the inflated electricity bills. Make sure you conserve the environment by harnessing renewable energies and reducing the green house effect and global warming. This will surely help you in a long run with a pollution free environment that is free from harmful chemicals and hazardous gases.

Get the benefit of residential solar panels and make optimum benefit of renewable natural resources. Your initiative will help in saving the earth from harmful gases and keeping it green.

I have a garage under construction and would like to operate the garage door opener (about 1 HP) via solor panels (I’ll need two due to the sun’s direction at varying times of the year. I’m also interested in something that I can install myself (w/o an electrician). Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
