A SUNRNR is easy to operate with a main on/off switch, an inverter on/off switch, a solar panel connector, and four AC plug outlets. The power inverter can handle higher amperage/surge, has four AC outlets, and is available in a non-US 220VAC/50Hz option; our rechargeable battery stores more electrical energy; our solar panel is top of the line; our charge controller makes it user-friendly; and our steel chassis is designed for safety, ruggedness, and portability. The battery may be recharging with the solar panel connected (or by other DC - see below) while in use or while idle. Keeping the unit fully charged will ensure maximum power is available when needed - day or night, cloudy or bright. SUNRNRs are not meant to compete with permanent residential grid-tie or backup emergency power system installations, megaWatt trailered systems, or hand held, limited-capacity, real-time sunshine supplies. They are unique in that they were designed to house all the necessary components of an industrial-strength power system within a rugged, easy-to-operate, safety-minded, self-contained enclosure, yet remain portable.
